I have heard that for as long as one is connected to the Internet the BBC iplayer and 4OD will share your connection with others wanting the same programs as I have downloaded.

Is there nay truth in this

Hard Drive size

Many people have asked me how large does ones hard drive have to be to download BBC iplayer programs.

Well, how long is a peaice of string? Each 1 hour portion of a program or film is around 600mb. So lets say for instance at amy one tme you have 10 programmes that you have downloaded and need to watch. This equates to around 6GB not to be all things considered.

However, I recently went to France and took my laptop. Knowing that I was on my own in France I set about downloading about 40 programmes that I hadnt had the time to watch.

The combined download was around 36GB so watch out!
